If I were to say that I read in multiple genres, it would be putting it mildly. In the past six months or so, I'v read books on how to write and edit (surprise), fiction in a half dozen genres, several poetry collections, books on spiritual subjects, books about business and marketing, and books on specific subjects like curiosity, shape-shifting, and shamanism. Then there are the magazines I read through, like Discover, ID, Scientific American, Poets & Writers, The Writers' Chronicle, and many others.

I'm married and have three children, two sons and a daughter. I don't get to see all of them as often as I'd like, but love them from wherever I am and wherever they are. My oldest son is a police officer and has a beautiful daughter. My youngest son is a nurse and is working at a hospital in Florida. He has a smart and good-looking boy and a beautiful stepdaughter. Three grandchildren, if you're keeping track. My daughter is a writer and writes under her real name, Nicole J Persun as well as a pseudonym, Jennifer Gold. Who can spend their whole lives behind a book or a computer screen without going crazy? Not me. I try to take at least one walk every day, then spend time outside feeding horses, scooping their poop, and fixing fences, mowing grass, and doing general maintenance around the house and farm. I really enjoy hiking when I get the chance, and want to spend a few weeks in Utah visiting the National Parks (maybe with the whole family).

For my day job I am a freelance writer and marketing services expert. Before going out on my own, I held VP of Marketing and Sales positions, Editorial Director positions (consumer and business-to-business), worked as an electronics design engineer, and spent six years in the US Air Force. Now, I use all those talents and interests while running an advertising/PR agency. I get to talk with interesting people every day, and help companies gain visibility and sell more of their products and services to an eager customer base .
