Reviews

Terry Persun is a multi-genre writer. Wolf's Rite is written in the form of magical realism. It is about a New York executive nicknamed, Wolf, in mid-life crisis. Through an ancient Native American ritual, Wolf faces his inner struggles. The cure is magical.

I thought the use of Native imagery as a path to self-discovery, ingenious. I am curious about the response of the Native community to Wolf's interpretation of his healing journey. Being of Native descent myself, I have struggled to find authors that portray Native teachings in contemporary style. This author is doing just that. The author has published other books using this technique in his fantasy genre series. One that I purchased portrays a Shaman Detective. I look forward to reading and reviewing that novel as well.

What happens when the hunter becomes the hunted—by his own soul?

In Wolf’s Rite, Llewellyn “Wolf” Smith is a ruthless ad executive whose life begins to unravel after a violent outburst and a mysterious assignment in the New Mexico wilderness. What starts as a corporate retreat turns into a harrowing spiritual journey led by a group of Native American guides. Through elemental rituals, haunting visions, and brutal self-confrontation, Wolf is forced to face the demons of his past, the collapse of his relationships, and the duality within himself.

Terry Persun’s award-winning novel is a gripping blend of psychological drama, spiritual awakening, and emotional redemption. With vivid imagery and raw introspection, Wolf’s Rite explores masculinity, transformation, and the cost of living without integrity.

Perfect for readers who crave character-driven fiction with depth, heart, and a touch of mysticism.
