Abuse of Murder: A Fuller and Walker Mystery—eBook
Reviewers Speak Out
“The crime story is very well done; the community pressures add a strong undercurrent to the whole, giving a broader awareness and a complexity not always found in mysteries.”
“The subject matter of abuse is handled with insight, the plot is nicely twisty, and the tension mounts as the action drives to a riveting conclusion.”
“The ongoing tension continues from page to page and chapter to chapter. Seriously, I couldn’t put it down.”
Synopsis
After a series of murders, where men are found in empty houses with their skulls crushed, Deputy Sheriff Leslie Fuller and his partner Mae Belle Walker discover the connecting thread while investigating the widows of each of the men.
Leslie and Mae Belle encounter everything from disbelief to disinterest in the deaths. The suspect count only increases as they broaden their scope and penetrate deeper into the community of possible suspects seeking revenge—from nurses to social workers.
As the threats get closer to home, Leslie is lured into a trap which leaves him in even more dire circumstances. With heart wrenching decisions to make, while simultaneously hunting down the murderers, Leslie and Mae Bell pull the puzzle pieces together. But the whole investigation could easily fall apart when Deputy Fuller’s family gets intimately involved in the case.
